CLASIKART AND VERONIKA TODOROVA

For about 20 years builds Veronika Todorova a successful career as a conductor and a concert performer on the European scene. In 2006, at the accordion world championship, she is announced the best accordion player in the world. The same year, she wins the title ”Master of Germany ’’. The opinion of the music critic in Bulgaria is that Veronika Todorova wields the instrument to perfection and furthermore she can give an interpretation to a wide range of musical styles – from baroque, classical music and tango Nuevo through her own compositions to odern world music.

ClassicArt String Quartet was created in 2017 from friends who want to make music at its best! A line-up of brilliant soloists united by the love of what they do, following their dreams. Currently, the ensemble consists of: Kalina Hristova – violin – concertmaster of the Sofia Philharmonic, Galina Lyubenova – violin – symphony orchestra of the BNR, Evgenia Baadzhieva-Dimova – viola – deceased. leader of the violas in the symphony orchestra of the BNR and Christiana Alipieva Mihailova – cello – deceased. concertmaster of cellos in the Sofia Philharmonic, Yavor Dobrev – clarinet – leader of clarinets in the Sofia Opera and Ballet and Mihail Mihailov – French horn – first French horn player of the Sofia Philharmonic. ClassicArt concerts are conceptual performances with music, speech, artistic lighting and special subtitles. The ensemble’s repertoire is constantly expanding and now includes premieres of works by Bulgarian composers, as well as chamber masterpieces from the baroque era, classics, romanticism and modern times. ClassicArt successfully realizes concerts with jazz formats, tango and film music.

The ClassicArt project with Veronika Todorova – accordion, Veneta Neinska – piano, Svoboda Bozduganova – double bass and Stoyan Pavlov – percussion, combines several different worlds of music – Piazzolla, Gershwin, Renzo Ruggeri and Veronika Todorova herself! These musical stories, united by the common direction – jazz in music! The works are unique, original and inspiring! Concerts with this project have been held in the “Bulgaria” hall for two seasons in a row, with great interest from the public and full halls!
