EMIL TASEV QUARTET

With his own “Tesseract” project Emil Tasev Quartet strives – as through of the same name composition, as well as through the rest – to peek into the mysterious fourth spatial dimension in which nobody of us can physically present, but mathematically – or with the help of art and music in particular – we can continue to try, practically without restrictions.

The creation of the Tesseract drew on the interests and knowledge of Emil Tasev of astronomy and quantum physics. Hence the project’s title, which stands for four-dimensional hypercube, “the geometric representation of the fourth spatial dimension in our three-dimensional world” (in Emil Tasev’s words).

On August 3rd Emil Tasev Quartet will represent the new album “TESSERACT” with a concert premiere, in which participate some of the most prominent Bulgarian and international jazz musicians: Steve Hamilton – keyboards, Veselin Veselinov – Eko – bass, Emil Tasev – drums and saxophonist Vladimir Karparov, who arrives specially for the live from Berlin.
