Milko Bozhkov

Milko Bozhkov was born in 1953 in the village of Resen, Veliko Tarnovo region. In 1972, he graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Sofia, and in 1978, he completed his studies in Painting at the National Academy of Arts. He is the author of over 80 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, and Germany. He has participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and biennials of painting and graphics in Bulgaria, the USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Japan, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia, and other countries. His works are part of collections in the Library of Congress in Washington, the Portland Museum of Art, the National Library of France, the Gallery of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Szczecin, the Peter Ludwig Collection in Aachen, the Hugo Voeten Collection, the Czech National Gallery, the Museum of Small Format in Boussu, Belgium, and others.
