SPECTRUM VOCAL BAND

Spectrum Vocal Band is a five-member Bulgarian a cappella group with a unique style and approach to vocal music. The group’s repertoire crosses boundaries between pop, jazz and traditional Bulgarian folk music, thus creating a fresh and distinctive sound.

Since its foundation in 2012 Spectrum has performed at some of the most notable stages in Bulgaria, including jazz, classical, choral and contemporary arts festivals. Their concerts are often broadcast by national radio and television stations. They also have huge success with audiences abroad. In April 2023 the group had its first tour across the Atlantic, performing concerts in five cities in Canada.

The five singers have had productive collaborations, both live and in studio, with some of the finest Bulgarian jazz, classical, folk and pop artists. In 2018 Spectrum were invited to be the opening act for the Manhattan Transfer at their concert in Sofia and were highly praised by the giants of vocal jazz.

In the past few seasons Spectrum Vocal Band released a number of musical albums and recordings, receiving several nominations and awards for their original production and studio work. The group often takes part in events with educational focus, preserving and continuing the traditions of Bulgarian a cappella music.

The five members of the group are all professional vocalists with rich experience in the a cappella, choral, vocal jazz and pop genres, sharing the mutual love of creating a unique and thrilling performance with nothing else but their voices.
