VASSIL PETROV

Vassil Petrov is one of the most famous and influential jazz and pop performers in Bulgaria. His beautiful voice and impeccable musical taste, combined with precise vocal technique and artistic presence, make him an outstanding performer. He graduated from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” under the tutelage of the famous composer and pedagogue Angel Zaberski. Shortly after graduation, he established himself as a leading performer in jazz and pop music. Between 1992 and 1994, he was the number one selling performer in Bulgaria.

Vassil Petrov has various music projects, ranging from jazz and pop standards to symphonic works, and he also creates his own music. He has a rich collection of records and performances with the Bulgarian National Radio and Television. Throughout his career, he has released a total of 14 albums, with the latest being “Love Songs vol.1.” He is an award winner from the Golden Orpheus ’95 contest for Hit of the Year, Singer of the Year, Album of the Year, and many others.

Vassil Petrov is a mainstay on the Bulgarian jazz stage and has been honored many times for his contributions to the development and sustainability of the swing jazz genre in Bulgaria.
