Zachary Kamenov

Zachary Kamenov was born on July 30, 1949, in Vidin. He completed his primary education in his hometown and his secondary education at the High School of Fine Arts in Sofia. He graduated with a degree in Painting from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts “Nikolay Pavlovich” in the class of Professor Panayot Panayotov in 1975 and returned to Vidin. From 1981 to 1987, he was involved in illustrating the newspaper “Vedrina,” a bimonthly supplement to the newspaper “Cherveno Zname” focused on literature, art, and culture. After this period, he moved to Sofia and worked as a freelance artist. His creative palette is extremely diverse and experimental, including painting with all techniques and materials, graphics, small clay sculptures, applied arts, and textiles. He has worked extensively, mastering and further developing various creative genres and techniques in France, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Japan.
